The current Central High School main building was built in 1981, and the Annex Building was added in 1989. 

Proposition A would add a new High School classroom wing that would connect all core classrooms, supporting teacher collaboration and reducing outdoor transitions. The proposed bond would allow for upgrades to both the main and annex buildings, including science lab improvements, new paint and ceiling tiles, and student restroom updates.

Currently, almost 900 high school and junior high students move between 12 buildings daily, using covered sidewalks and crossing a parking lot. The sidewalks are not ADA-compliant and collect rainwater, creating accessibility challenges. Proposition A would connect buildings and reduce the need for students to use these sidewalks.
